Association with 120 members was founded in 1902 in Banja Luka. This event marked the start of economic organization in our area. Law on Establishment of Chamber of Trade and Crafts in 1909 for the first time regulates the organization of the Chamber as a public-legal institution in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Professional chambers, mainly for agriculture, catering, trade and crafts were active until 1962. With the Law on Establishment of the unique Chambers of Commerce from 1962, there was constituted Chamber of Commerce, as the chamber of general type which represents all areas and branches of the economy equally. Program objectives 1. Create a favorable environment for business as a part of the overall economic system; 2. Preparation of the RS economy in the path of European integration; 3. Improvement of business cooperation through the promotion of the economy in RS and abroad; 4. Increasing competitiveness of the Chamber members through a continuous process of education; 5. Promotion of chamber activities aimed at better informing the public and members of the Chamber; 6. Improving the business and increase the efficiency of activities of the Chamber.
